- Capacity limits this scenario
- No
Additional jobs = smaller of suitable inquiries × hypothetical share and available added capacity. Balance = additional jobs × contribution − coverage expense. Fractional jobs describe a scenario average. Break-even jobs are rounded upward.
Start with the evidence
Enter distinct suitable after-hours inquiries, a hypothetical additional-completion share, contribution per additional job, coverage expense and maximum added job capacity. The completion share is an assumption you choose, not a measured recovery rate. Confirm suitable demand and capacity separately before using the scenario in a business decision.
A worked example
The fictional starting case is twenty suitable inquiries, 50% additional completion, $80 contribution, $600 coverage expense and capacity for fifteen jobs. It produces ten hypothetical additional jobs and a $200 balance. Capacity of five caps the result at five jobs and −$200. Zero added capacity produces no additional work in the model even when the phone could be answered.
Choose the next action
Compare low and higher assumptions using Save comparison. Break-even jobs are rounded upward only when contribution is positive; zero or negative contribution cannot yield a meaningful positive break-even count. Fractional scenario jobs represent an average planning assumption rather than an actual partial job. Keep any omitted expenses visible beside the result.
Check whether it worked
Export the inputs, capacity rule and results together. Validate the actual provider scope and operating plan independently; this tool does not supply an answering service or promise recovered revenue. Results stay in memory and no financial input is added to the booking URL. If you change coverage later, compare actual inquiries and completed work rather than treating this scenario as achieved performance.
