Answer / Improve local visibility

How can a towing business ask customers for reviews respectfully?

Ask for an honest review at a consistent service milestone. Do not offer incentives or route only happy customers toward the public review link.

Check the profile evidence

Choose an operational trigger the business can confirm, such as the service conversation being complete. Identify the authorized communication channel and who owns the request. Keep the wording neutral and avoid collecting unnecessary customer detail. Google’s review guidance permits asking customers to share experiences while prohibiting incentives and selective solicitation of positive reviews.

A worked example

Fictional wording: “Thank you for choosing Example Towing. If you would like to share your experience, you can leave an honest review here: [the business’s verified review link].” A staff member should not change that to “Leave five stars for a discount” or send the public link only after a positive satisfaction answer. A requested review is not a completed review.

Choose the next action

Use the business’s own verified link and a human-approved process consistent with the communication context. Keep private service questions separate from public review solicitation. Do not add someone to ongoing promotional messages merely because they received a service-related request. If a customer raises an unresolved issue, route it to the person responsible without conditioning access to the review link on satisfaction.

Check whether it worked

Review whether the trigger is followed consistently and whether the link reaches the correct business. Track requests and observed submissions separately without claiming a one-to-one match you cannot establish. Check for accidental incentives or selective routing in templates. Use feedback to improve the underlying service, not just the wording of the request.
