Answer / Improve local visibility

How should a towing business respond to a review?

Respond to what you can verify, keep the tone professional and move private case details into an appropriate private conversation. A public reply should not expose a customer’s record.

Check the profile evidence

Classify the review as praise, a specific complaint, an unclear account or content you believe violates platform policy. Check the relevant facts privately with the responsible person. Do not assume a name identifies the exact job, and do not publish addresses, payment details, vehicle identifiers or a recording to win an argument.

A worked example

Fictional patterns: praise — “Thank you for sharing your experience.” Complaint — “We are sorry the communication was unclear. Please contact our office so we can review the details privately.” Uncertain identity — “We cannot confirm the details from this post. Please contact us with your service reference so we can look into it.” These are starting points; do not claim an investigation or resolution that has not occurred.

Choose the next action

Have a person with access to the facts approve a short, accurate response. Acknowledge the stated concern without inventing liability findings or arguing about an unverified event. If reporting content, use the platform’s applicable process and cite the actual policy issue. A negative opinion by itself is not proof that a review is removable.

Check whether it worked

Confirm the published reply contains no private information and that any promised follow-up has a real owner. Log the service issue separately so recurring communication failures can be corrected. Do not measure success only by whether the reviewer changes a rating. If no reliable facts exist, preserve that uncertainty rather than constructing a detailed rebuttal.
