Check the profile evidence
List regular hours, holiday exceptions, the person responsible for calls and the services actually available in each period. Inventory the website, Business Profile, advertisements and voicemail wording. Mark each channel as accurate, conflicting or not yet checked. Use the current platform’s supported hours fields rather than inventing a new listing to represent a temporary change.
A worked example
Fictional holiday: the website says open until 8 p.m., the profile says closed, the ad says 24 hours and the owner plans to answer only until noon. The immediate problem is inconsistent expectations. A correction sheet names the approved holiday availability and who will update each surface; it does not assume the most generous published promise is the real schedule.
Choose the next action
Have the operator approve the actual availability first. Update public information and the answering arrangement together, using truthful language for requests received outside service hours. Check campaign time zones when scheduling advertising. If a platform edit is pending, record that status and make other independently controlled information accurate instead of claiming all channels are synchronized.
Check whether it worked
Inspect the public view before the exception begins and again after normal hours resume. Ask the responsible person to confirm coverage without creating fake customer work. Review inquiries declined because of timing and distinguish them from service or geographic mismatch. A completed update log is useful evidence; it is not a ranking guarantee.
